The Holistic Health Community is in search of a Communications and Marketing Manager and Development and Fundraising Manager


Position Title: Communications and Marketing Manager


Location: This is primarily a remote position, with some In person duties and
responsibilities required every month. Must be a Hudson Valley resident.

Reports To: The Executive Director


General Purpose:

The Communications and Marketing Manager is a new role at the Holistic Health
Community (HHC). This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and results-driven
storyteller passionate about sustainability and holistic, whole person healthcare for all to
join a growing team to amplify the Holistic Health Community’s impact and mission.

The successful candidate will be an independent contractor, and a highly organized,
results-driven communicator with excellent written and verbal communications skills
excited about maximizing the existing process and creating new strategies to reach
target audiences to tell the HHC story. This key role will bring both a creative vision and
data driven lens to communications in support of the HHC’s strategic goals. The person
in this role will work independently, and also communicate and collaborate regularly with
the executive director and team members from across the organization.

Essential Functions:

● Work independently to develop and implement communications and marketing
strategies in support of organizational goals
● Oversee and manage social media, newsletter and email communications
● Develop and implement a social media calendar and editorial calendar to
execute effective social media and marketing strategies across a variety of web
based and digital platforms
● Utilize social media channels to engage with the Holistic Health Community’s
partners and contributors
● Oversee and manage the development of clear, concise, visually appealing, and
impactful social media content
● Develop and implement effective social media and digital marketing campaigns
● Regularly analyze data to inform leadership and update strategies
● Manage relationship with website consultant to ensure website content is
up-to-date, accurate, and meets the needs of the HHC audiences
● Draft and/or provide final review of all e-mail content including donor relations
and fundraising solicitations
● Manage development of print, digital content and all collateral needs for all
audiences including current and prospective funders, donors, community
partners, and program participants.
● Ensure all collateral is edited for clarity, impact and brand adherence
● Manage and provide support across other projects as needed

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:


● Minimum of 4-5 years of experience in nonprofit and/or communications
● Exceptional storytelling skills
● Demonstrated success utilizing print, digital, and social communications
channels in support of broader goals; ability to collect, analyze, and apply data to
drive strategy
● Demonstrated experience with online marketing, social media, email and
newsletter marketing platforms
● Ability to communicate the Holistic Health Community’s impact and mission
across print and digital channels
● Demonstrated superb written and verbal skills; ability to create and edit concise
written content
● Design and write marketing pieces and other collateral (printed and digital) as
needed
● Draft press releases, psa’s and other media alerts as needed
● Assist with communication strategies to promote fundraising efforts
● Other duties as assigned
● Strong organizational skills, collaborative, professional, and kind attitude,
attention to detail, and ability to maintain high-quality work.
● Ability to manage competing priorities

Requirements:

● Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor of Arts or Science preferably in
marketing, public relations or communications
● At least 4-5 years of e-marketing or communications experience, preferably in
the non-profit arena
● Excellent written, verbal and computer skills,
● The ideal candidate should be flexible, collaborative, creative, detail-oriented,
and organized
● Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends at various locations in the
Hudson Valley is necessary and will vary throughout the year.
● Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Canva and other graphic design software

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 per week

Position Title: Development and Fundraising Manager

General Purpose:

The Development and Fundraising Manager is a new role at the Holistic Health
Community (HHC). This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled development
professional with a proven track record of successful non-profit fundraising, and a deep
understanding of diversifying and growing revenue. Responsibilities for this position
include but are not limited to the areas of: foundation grants, corporate partnerships,
public funding, annual fund development, expanding donor bases, fundraising events,
and peer-to-peer giving. The ideal candidate should be an independent contractor that
is passionate about sustainability and holistic, whole person health and wellness, and
amplifying the Holistic Health Community’s impact and mission.


The person in this role will work independently, and also communicate and collaborate
regularly with the executive director and team members from across the organization.

Essential Functions:

● Manage a development program that includes individual giving, major gifts,
foundation grants, public funding, corporate partnerships, annual fund
development, fundraising events, and peer-to-peer giving.
● Oversee the development and execution of our overall fundraising materials,
including: mass emails, acknowledgment letters, letters of intent, proposals, grant
applications, and decks.
● Support the Communications and Marketing manager with strategic, non-ask
donor communications designed to engage the donor base through consistent
outreach and engagement.
● Identify funding opportunities and write and submit letters of inquiry, proposals
and reports to foundations.
● Design and implement individual donor strategy for both donors and monthly
sustainers, to build our community of supporters.
● Cultivate relationships with foundations and corporate partners.
● Ensure timely and accurate grant reporting to funders as the organization’s
grants administrator.
● Design and plan fundraising events, including securing sponsors and donors,
overseeing logistics and analyzing performance.
● Assist with communication strategy to promote fundraising efforts.
● Work with Communications and Marketing Manager to develop and enhance
communications aimed at funders (website, print pieces, email content,
story/pic/video library, frames)

Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:


● Minimum of 5-7 years of responsible management experience in nonprofit
fundraising.
● Demonstrated ability to identify and pursue new grant sources, and write
successful grant applications and proposals.
● Ability to think strategically and contribute to the development of comprehensive
fundraising plans aligned with organizational goals.
● Proven track record of achieving revenue targets, including revenue from
individual donors and events.
● Demonstrated success in raising funds from individual donors, foundations,
corporations, and government source
● Experience administering and managing a donor database and email.
Experience in leveraging data for analysis, reporting, and decision-making.
● Strong organizational skills, collaborative, professional, and kind attitude,
attention to detail, and ability to maintain high-quality work.
● Ability to manage competing priorities

Requirements:

● Qualified candidates will possess a Bachelor of Arts or Science preferably in
nonprofit management, marketing, public relations, or related field.

● The ideal candidate should be flexible, collaborative, creative, detail-oriented,
and organized
● Flexibility to work occasional evenings and weekends at various locations in the
Hudson Valley is necessary and will vary throughout the year.
● Any combination of experience in the areas of grant development, grant
monitoring, marketing, community relations, fundraising or development
equivalent to five - seven years.
● A get-it-done personality that is entrepreneurial, strategic, and people focused.
